Did David Cooper o Brian Laudrup? On Thursday
night, I was reading an article from The Scotsman, where they would display
some stories of the talented David Cooper Templeton. There, article, stir,
spits, so whimsical, some statements of Templeton two years ago. If he was a
fan of our rivals, if your name does not like (knowing -I speak of the
intentional journalist- we love that name), well...that I care little. Yes, I was interested in following sentence:
“I loved watching Brian Laudrup because of the way he played.” ...And David
showed on Sunday that both Cooper and Laudrup were represented in spirit and
soul in our palace of dreams.
Since the start of last season, I still
enthusiastically progress of David (and Russell´s Dundee United, by
representing both potential for Scottish football). Since that early season at

regurgita, de forma antojadiza, algunas declaraciones de él hace dos años. Si
era fan de nuestros eternos rivales, si su nombre no le gusta (a sabiendas –yo
hablo del inoportuno periodista- que nosotros amamos ese nombre), bueno…eso
poco me importa a mí. Si, me interesó lo siguiente: “I loved watching
Brian Laudrup because of the way he played.”…Y David
demostró el Domingo que tanto Cooper comoLaudrup estuvieron representados en
espíritu y alma en nuestro palacio de los sueños.
Desde el inicio
de la temporada pasada, yo sigo con entusiasmo el progreso de David (y también
a Russell del Dundee United, por las potencialidades que representan ambos para
el fútbol escocés). Desde aquel inicio de temporada en Ibrox, cuando nosotros
empatamos 1-1 con Hearts y David mareo y contrarió a Whittaker.
Como era de
esperar Templeton jugó como puntero por la izquierda, con una virtuosa
proclividad para enganchar para el centro, apuntando el cañón directo al arco o

en esa falla sin interrupción, más allá de las imprecisiones de los Black and Whites. McLeod es un reloj que marca los tiempos,
juega delante de la defensa y asiste a los laterales. Hace su trabajo a
destajo. Tiene en ese aspecto una gran ayuda de Black. Pero no hay
compensación. Es brillante ver la magia que despliegan nuestras estrellas. Yo
no veo amortiguadores para contener el juego rival. La resolución equivocada de
este conflicto requería de la concesión de la pelota al rival mediante fauls. Y
esa será una tarea pendiente por resolver. Contra Falkirk, Sebastien Faure,
hizo un despliegue físico intenso como mediocampista defensivo pero no llegó a
cubrir los espacios y perdió de forma inocente la pelota. Es importante
destacar que en el match de Copa, nosotros empezamos presionando tenazmente al
rival.
Nosotros tenemos
poder de fuego y decisión para vulnerar a los rivales. Tras el gol inicial, Lee

Cuando se habla
de McCulloch se puede correr el riesgo de ser poco original, pues mucho hemos
hablado. La decisión de Super-Ally de otorgarle el rol de skipper condensa
absolutamente todo lo que se puede decir. Para mí, Lee representa el sacrificio,
la tenacidad y el profesionalismo ante la adversidad, incluso en momentos que
los fans cuestionaban su rendimiento. Los 100 goles pueden ser el testimonio de
su perpetua reconstrucción.La gestación del centésimo gol de nuestro nuevo capitán,
comenzó en las botas de Templeton, un tiro muy similar al que realizó
entresemana jugando en Liverpool. Gibson, el arquero de Elgin, dio rebote y
McCulloch atropelló para anotar el gol y salir corriendo a ofrendar a los fans
un beso a la cinta de capitán. 3-1.
Nos fuimos
tranquilos al descanso, con la sensación de alivio, de haber cumplido, a pesar
de los sinsabores defensivos. En el segundo tiempo, Templeton completó una
brillante actuación con un gol en el área pequeña, tras un tiro de esquina de
Shiels. 4-1. El cuarto gol rompió los
esquemas del Elgin, ya desconcertado por el aluvión del primer tiempo. Black
estuvo más activo en el manejo de la pelota, Lewis McLeod, incansable, corrió
por todos lados, se multiplicó para estar en todos lados. Lewis fue nuestro
Mike Tyson, recibió golpes, pero siguió parado y fue al frente, golpeando y
robando la pelota. Pero las desatenciones continuaron. Al partido le sobró una
parte importante del segundo tiempo, aunque representó la posibilidad de
agregar más goles al marcador. En esos pasajes, Templeton llegó hasta robar la
pelota representando un peligro constante cada vez que tomaba la pelota. Por
como él corre, por como él traslada la pelota, David es muy parecido a Brian
Laudrup. Luego Templeton sería reemplazado por Kevin Kyle e Ibrox fue un
torbellino de aplausos.
El quinto gol
fue una sólida combinación con marca registrada en el Ulster, Shiels,
intratable, cedió a Andrew Little, que desde la posición de winger por la derecha,
centró para que Jig anotara su gol 101. El ingreso de Barrie McKay por Andrew
dio más dinámica e impulso al sector derecho, muchos de nuestros ataques
comenzaron por allí. Aunque en la última parte del campo costó la definición.
Al final, ganamos y dimos espectáculo. Ahora a trabajar en la concentración y
en la atención y la coordinación entre la defensa y el mediocampo.
