Friends, you know that Rangers are a family, where we all rely on the good and the bad, I want to comment, I want to leave it for a few moments of pure football. ...When he finished the match against St Johnstone, Tom approached Sone Aluko, Ally McCoist and Lee McCulloch and asked all their autographs, thereupon sent to Argentina as a gift! I still have to appreciate that sheet with the firms.

The Ibrox Disaster

New Year Bells had been ringing,
All of Scotland was singing,
The old year had died,
And the new had been born.
As the news of disaster
From Ibrox came spreading,
The news that would cause
A whole nation to mourn

Two great goals had been scored,
In the last dying moments.
Jimmy Johnstone for Celtic,
For Rangers’ young Stein.
Their supporters all cheered them,

Unknowing what waited on staircase 13

66 people died
Some in flower of their manhood,
When the fences gave way
And the barriers bent,
Seasoned Glasgow policemen their faces all tearstained,

Derek Parlane, Born is the King of Ibrox Park

"Born is the King of Ibrox Park", cantaron las legiones de Light Blue sobre Derek Parlane, ídolo en los años 70, portando el jersey número 9 de los Gers. Derek Parlane (5 de mayo 1953 en Helensburgh) desde 1970 a 1980 se debió al color azul (hasta partir al Leeds United). En 300 partidos, marcó 111 goles. Ganó dos campeonatos, 3 Copas de Escocia, 2 Copas Scottish League y 1 Recopa de Europa. En 2010, fue incluido en el Hall of Fame del Glasgow Rangers. Parlane hizo su estreno en 1970 a la joven edad de 17, pero dos años más tarde fue artífice del gran triunfo europeo en la Recopa, al derrotar en semifinales al todopoderoso Bayern Munich 2-0. Este triunfo tuvo una relevancia mayor pues el equipo bavaro contaba con una multitud de estrellas, incluyendo a Beckenbauer, Muller, Hoeness, Maier y Roth. Bill Struth

Bill Struth (1875-1956) fue el segundo manager de la historia del Rangers Football Club, conduciendo al club durante 34 años entre 1920 y 1954, así como otros puestos en el club, incluyendo el rol de director. Struth es uno de los managers más exitosos de la historia del fútbol escocés, obtuvo 18 campeonatos de liga, 10 Copas de Escocia, 2 Copas de la Liga, 7 campeonatos en tiempos de guerra, 19 Copas Glasgow, 17 Glasgow Merchant Charity Cups y una multitud de otros honores en tiempos de guerra.

Ibrox Disaster

Ocurrió el 2 de enero de 1971 en el final de un Old Firm. Más de 100.000 aficionados cayeron al suelo. Después de 89 minutos de fútbol sin goles el Celtic tomó una ventaja de 0-1 y algunos seguidores del Rangers comenzaron a abandonar el estadio. Sin embargo, en los momentos finales del partido, Colin Stein anotó el empate para los Rangers. Mientras miles de espectadores cayeron al suelo por la escalera 13, parece que alguien, posiblemente llevando a un niño en los hombros, cayó, causando una cadena masiva de amontonamiento de personas
